Bookends 11.1 ($99) – Bookends is a tool that can help users organize reference information and create bibliographies. Version 11.1 allows users to only attach a PDF when reference metadata is found online. Amazon references found with an online search will also display book descriptions, and a sortable publication date column has been added to the Amazon search display. CaptureIt! 1.7.5 ($30) – CaptureIt! is a screen capture tool for Mac OS X. The software is capable of capturing both images and videos of a users desktop, with options to export each to various formats. Version 1.7.5 has fixed a bug that would cause the mouse cursor to be drawn twice in recorded movies wen the display was zoomed. OmniFocus 1.8.2 ($80) – OmniFocus 1.8.2 is a new version of the Mac-based task management tool. In the new release the Command key is required for shortcut preferences, allowing it to work more reliably under Snow Leopard. IconBox 2.0.5 ($20) – IconBox is an organization tool that allows users to create a collection of icons. Users can arrange their icons into a series of boxes, which can then be further categorized by folders and subfolders. Syllabus 1.2 ($20) – Syllabus has been designed to help students stay organized. The software includes features for tracking a school calendar, course schedules, professor office hours, and assignment due dates. iCal synchronization is also included.
