OTA Begone, a tweak to remove the OTA updates reporting via Terminal – Cydia

On the heels of “No AppStore Badges” and “No Badges” Cydia developer Caleb Mott has published on Cydia tweak “OTA Begone” program that deletes the report OTA updates on iPhone by launching a specific application or by using a command issuing device with Mobile Terminal.

OTA Begone is a tweak that adds a new icon to the Home screen of your device jailbroken. Launching this application, the badge that indicates there are newer updates available disappears from system settings and icon is no longer displayed in the future.

Alternatively, you can use OTA Begone in coupled with Mobile Terminal having the same effects. To remove the update from the Application Settings icon will open the Terminal and type in the command “OTABegone”, followed by pressing the Enter key.
