The Icewear iPad case from Tunewear looks and feels like a rubber tire. The one I received is even black like a tire. The inside has a waffle iron tread, which is reminiscent of the bottom of an old fashioned tennis shoe.  It is fairly thick and amazingly durable. I attempted to damage the case by stretching it, puncturing with pens, and scratching with dog claws; it took all of my abuse short of the application of direct heat with grace and without scratching.

The Icewear has a great all-around wrap with ample protection for the sides and front.  Looking at it, I had to wonder if it would bounce. Too nervous to risk an iPad, I stuffed the case with a book and dropped it. Turns out it doesn’t.

On the whole, for normal wear and tear, it isn’t a bad product. It even has a fairly professional look. If that’s not your style, the background is perfect for jazzing up.
