This iPhone 4 clearly shows it’s what’s on the inside that counts

Apple isn’t exactly known for their transparency, but take a look at this! I know you can see right through my puns and word plays, but seriously, this iPhone 4 is awesome. Whether we ever see a white iPhone 4 somehow matters less now that I know a clear iPhone 4 is possible. Apple will likely never sell such a product as a standard “color” option, but we can dream right?

The creator of this iPhone 4 mod claims to have purchased a transparent iPhone 4 kit. But others say the mod was performed by applying paint thinner to a standard iPhone 4 case (removed from the rest of the components of course). The paint thinner removed the paint, and viola—transparent iPhone 4. Pretty awesome, right?
Now, who is ready to tear their iPhone 4 apart and use some paint thinner? Not I, but I never took my toys apart as a child either, so that’s no surprise. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone started buying up replacement iPhone fronts and backs, removing the paint and selling them for a little profit.

I still don’t think the transpartent iPhone 4 tops the illuminating Apple logo of this iPhone. I really wish Apple would take that hack to heart and incorporate it into iPad 2 and iPhone 5. I’m also not holding my breath.
