Apple removes controversial WikiLeaks software from iPhone App Store

An iPhone application that offered access to illegally leaked classified government documents from the site WikiLeaks has been removed from the App Store by Apple. The application "WikiLeaks App" advertised that it gave "instant access to the world's most documented leakage of top secret memos and other confidential government documents." Surc case and software turn iPhones into universal remotes

Mashed Pixel have brought out a case for the iPhone 4, 3GS and 3G called the Surc that incorporates an integrated infrared (IR) connector and custom software to create a universal, learning remote that can be customized by room and have "buttons" that are laid out to the users desires. The Surc will be formally launched at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January, and will ship in the first quarter of 2011. Old Navy piloting Apple’s iOS EasyPay retail software

Apple has launched a pilot of its EasyPay custom mobile retail software in a trial with Gap subsidiary Old Navy, opening a new market for the iPod touch in handheld payment transactions. Illumination Software Creator intros v3 beta, adds iOS

Radical Breeze has brought out the first public beta of its visual software creation program, Illumination. Version 3b1's biggest single change is the new ability to build iPhone apps from the same "code-free" base that already creates apps for Android, Linux, Mac OS X, Windows and Flash.
